Our key speaker is Lanarkshire farmer Michael Shannon, who finishes all his cattle off grass and forage crops and markets his livestock through his shop under the Damn Delicious brand.
The meeting on Tuesday 16th July from 12.30pm, at Duncan Morrison’s Upper Ingliston farm, Inverurie, also showcases low-input spraying of docks with SoilEssentials’ SKAi sprayer, protecting mixed species swards.
Jill Hunter, Beef & Sheep Nutritionist, will discuss the options where cattle need a nutritional boost.
We have Highland Meats buyer, Stuart Annand to explain what he looks for in finishing cattle and how farmers can optimise the price they receive.
The event will finish with a BBQ supplied by local company, Louise’s Farm Kitchen.
