HEADLINER: Deerfield Run
Deerfield Runs returns to the Starlight Room on the final weekend of our Spring season. Come join us to kick of summer on the Lakeshore with this staple of the West Michigan music scene!
Formed in 2016, Deerfield Run blends blues rock with a touch of country and a dash of funk, serving up a tasty musical blend that’s irresistible to audiences. Hailing from Grand Rapids, MI, the band delivers strong original songs and surprising covers pulled from a deep back pocket of classic tunes. As a group of seasoned West Michigan musicians with influences ranging from Al Green to Eric Clapton to the Eagles, their powerful instrumental and vocal performances captivate audiences of all ages. Their debut, self-titled album was released in September 2017, and the group released their latest album, Reckless, in September 2020.

OPENER: Cold Leather Seats
Opening for this event is The Starlight Room's own Alex Svoboda and his band, Cold Leather Seats. An Americana band from western Michigan, the Cold Leather Seats’ sound can be described as, “if the Zac Brown Band recorded a folk album.” Composed of frontman and lead singer- Alex Svoboda, bassist- Issac Frisbie, vocalist- Elizabeth Ostoin, and violinist- Bella Worthing, the band has found success through their evocative story telling and genre bending performances.
In 2020, the band joined the label, White Elephant Records, and released their debut single, Roots. Since that time, their success has shown no signs of slowing. In 2022, Cold Leather Seats’ music video, Where We Are, was nominated for a Michigan Music Video Award. In 2023, the band was nominated for, “Artist of the Year,” at the WYCE Jammies. They have opened for renowned acts such as, Full Cord- winner of the 2022 Telluride Bluegrass Festival; Drew Hale- recently named ‘Best New Act in Country Music’; Rachael Davis, Michigan Rattlers, and more.
