About this Event

In 2019, the Cure, a healthcare focused innovation campus, was announced by Deerfield Management Company, an investment management firm committed to advancing healthcare through investment, information, and philanthropy. Cure is located at 345 Park Avenue South and provides move-in ready laboratory space, engineering and computing space along with premier amenities and supportive services to help today’s thought leaders build a better tomorrow. The innovation campus brings together the capabilities of innovators from academia, government, industry and the not-for-profit sectors to tackle unmet needs in healthcare.

The Cure’s private office and lab-ready workspaces are accented by amenities and dedicated social spaces designed to enhance and foster spontaneous collaboration, such as a rooftop terrace event space, lounge club and kitchen, fitness center, exclusive wine cellar and cheese closet and a fully staffed, state-of-the-art conference center available on demand. In addition, Cure also has a Collaboration Residency which offers those seeking a smaller footprint to have access to Cure’s ecosystem.

The vertical innovation campus opened in March 2021 in Silicon Alley, New York City’s vibrant high-tech corridor centered around southern Manhattan’s Flatiron District. The neighborhood is home to a dynamic mix of top restaurants, bars and cafes, shops and fitness centers catering to the area’s contemporary workforce. Just steps from Madison Square Park and several transportation hubs, the building offers an accessible location to the growth of New York City’s life science ecosystem.

NYCEDC has committed $92 million in economic incentives during the next 20 years and Deerfield has committed $30 million toward professional developmental programs designed to prepare New Yorkers for careers in life science. Cure will foster the creation of 1,400 jobs. In addition to advancing workforce development, the programs will support diversity and inclusion initiatives and support careers of nearly 5,000 New Yorkers.

This in-person event will feature a virtual tour of 345 Park Avenue South and host a conversation with the thought leaders who are driving the vision behind the Cure. The event is limited to 75 in-person attendees.
