Join us the first four Sunday evenings in March for a simple supper of soup and bread at 5pm, followed by our program at 6pm.Series Description:
Lent in the Episcopal tradition calls us to self-examination, repentance, prayer, and renewed attention to God’s presence in our daily lives. Over four evenings, we will explore ancient spiritual practices that have shaped Anglican prayer and devotion across centuries. Drawing on contemplative, monastic, and embodied traditions, these sessions offer both theological grounding and practical experience. Whether you are seeking new ways to pray or a deeper rhythm for an already-established practice, these evenings invite you into a more intentional and grace-filled Lenten journey.
Evening 2 (Sunday, March 8): “Finding God in All Things”: Ignatian Prayer and Holy Discernment with the Rev. Deborah Hunley
Ignatian spirituality invites us to attend carefully to the movements of God in scripture, prayer, and daily life. This session explores practices of imaginative prayer, examen, and discernment that help us listen for God’s call with greater openness. Especially suited to Lent’s call to self-examination, Ignatian prayer offers Episcopalians a practical and deeply pastoral way to integrate prayer, decision-making, and action.
