So Last year we focused on our horses health and wellbeing with speakers on Behaviour, Nutrition and Diet, Tack, and Self Selection.
This year we are kicking off with a Workshop By Georgie McBurney.
'😊Georgie is an accredited counsellor, supervisor and tutor of counselling skills. She has a private practice in the UK and works with clients in person and remotely.
Georgie has specialised in inner child work for adults and is trained in humanistic and transpersonal modalities. Alongside counselling, she offers somatic shamanism, emotional freedom technique and matrix reimprinting. Inspired by her first pony Jac’s ability to connect to people, Georgie trained in counselling and Equine Facilitated work. This followed careers in the education sector from science teacher to programme leader of a degree she wrote in Equine Management; and public services sector from voluntary police officer to Army soldier.
Georgie is guardian to two ponies that live within a larger herd of mixed sizes, breeds and sex. Pixie is a five-year-old Welsh B that Georgie has known from a foal, and Jojo is an Arabian veteran who needed rehabilitation work for her back. Georgie has a strong interest in holistic therapies and has trained in several to help support herself and the pony’s health and well-being. Georgie is creating a narrative non-fiction book which expands on her article of ‘three grey ponies’ and includes her experiences and observations on healing the inner child to support others. ' 😄
