What is Deep Singing?
Deep Singing is a sacred group singing circle and meditation practice. The circle-keeper teaches a short song or chant, and then the group sings together in a repetitive manner, or “until the song sings you.” Following each song there is a period of silence in which we further absorb the vibration, healing, and Divine Presence in the circle. No experience in singing or reading music is necessary to participate.
Facilitator Bio:
Annaliese Stelzer is a trained singer, private voice instructor, liberated education mom, and co-founder of local nonprofit organization For All. Annaliese first experienced Deep Singing at Indralaya in the Summer of 2023, and is honored to share this sacred practice with the community.
Deep Singing was originally created by Barbara Bellamy and Helen Bee for Indralaya, a Theosophical retreat center dedicated to community and spiritual development on Orcas Island, WA.
