About this Event
About the talk
Plants are all around us, and yet we look at a tree or a shrub and we are blind to its journey and the wonders still happening within.
From the moment it all started with a seed, to the development of tissues and structures which allowed it to grow for decades (or even centuries), irrespectively of the temperatures, water availability and changes in the environment around it.
Using Hillside Garden as a living stage, you will go on a journey through the wonders of the plants around us, from the most primitive, to the most evolved or the edible. From the simple start as a seed, to the complex organism it grows into. You will know why some plants climb or go dormant, or why certain species are suited to be grown as houseplants.
If you would like to look at plants with a renewed interest and wonder, or simply know more about how your garden plants function, then this session is for you.
