Session 1 (For Youth of Dedham) - The Risks of Narcotics and Vaping

Adolescent substance use has changed as the availability of narcotics, THC and nicotine products have increased, leaving alcohol a less common form of intoxication than in previous generations.

This presentation will explore:

• physical risk factors
• addiction dependence
• social ramifications of these intoxicants in adolescents.

Session 2 (Parents and Caregivers of Dedham) - Bullying and Associated Risky Behavior

Bullying and cyberbullying continue to impact students, families, and schools striving to create safe environments

This session will:

• Distinguish between normal conflict and bullying
• Explore ways to build youth resilience
• Examine the connection between bullying and risky behaviors, including substance use.
• Attendees will leave with practical strategies to better support youth
