Decoupage a Wooden Planter - suitable for all abilities

This beauty will make the perfect Mother's Day gift and is suitable for all abilities - beginners are very welcome and will manage well.
Measuring 8" x 8" square our wooden planter will be primed, decoupaged, sealed and then embellished as you wish. Those with more decoupage experience might opt to distress the wood or paint designs on the surface before decorating.
There will be wooden discs, ribbon, gems and charms available plus a heavy coir rope for the handles, short or long, and you get to decide how to finish your work. (I chose to decoupage a wooden disc for the front, added short rope handles and some tiny gems to highlight a few areas with bling).
Note, our planters will be sealed for indoor use only using a cashe pot or polythene liner to hold plants or bulbs. For outdoor use, or to plant straight into the container, you will need to add a couple of coats of weatherproof varnish at home. Not difficult and I'm happy to advise but we won't have time to do so on the day :)
