Decorating and Piping 101
Description: Baking season is here, are you ready to step your decorating game up? Refine your skills in piping, garnishing, and icing to give any of your standard bakes that special touch. All skill levels welcome!
What You’ll Learn: We will make a few different icings and discuss the best use for each. We will cover proper technique for piping with tip and pastry bag, flooding and outlining cookies, and creating visually striking decorations. Recipes include Swiss Meringue Buttercream, Brown Butter Sugar Cookies, and Homemade Sprinkles.
NOTICE about cooking classes:
- Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above.
- You will work with other students.
- Hands-on classes are limited to 7 to 10 students.
- You will sit or stand, cooking and working for most of the class.
- Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.
- No refunds on classes, but feel free to gift a friend or family member.
- Students receive a coupon good for the day of the class for 10% off in-store purchases on all food, beverage, kitchen, and table top products.
- All recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc.
If you have a food allergy, please check with us before registering for a class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made.
