deClaramunt - The Art of Pairing: Caribbean Sushi Edition

Join us for an afternoon of exotic wine and food pairings in the heart of Kendall hosted by deClaramunt. Live music and tropical vibes by Margarita Parsamyan. Complimentary pours, raffles, wine education and MORE!

deClaramunt is a Spanish wine producer with roots in Spain and Miami Florida. We offer a unique selection of quality wines that you won't find in grocery stores. We want to build a community of wine and food lovers locally who love gourmet experiences.

This event is FUN and SOCIAL, and meant to educate you on wine and food pairings.

MENU:

FIRST PAIRING: Caribbean Coconut Shrimp Roll: Coconut battered shrimp rolled with sweet plantain, grilled peppers and coconut flakes.

PAIRED WITH: Claramunt Blanc (100% white grenache): Blanc de Claramunt’s character is crisp and fruit-forward with balanced acidity. Rich with notes of apricot, green apple,peaches.

SECOND PAIRING: Jerk Chicken Roll: Jamaican Jerk Chicken thighs grilled to perfection rolled up with sweet plantain, grilled red pepper and pickled cucumber.

PAIRED WITH: Claramunt Negre (100% Red Grenache): Claramunt Negre is a fresh and fruit-forward red wine. It is a great choice as a refreshing Summer red. Notes of cranberry, strawberry preserves, dark chocolate.

THIRD PAIRING: Poco Loko Roll: This "little crazy roll"" is packed with a little bit of everything! It is rolled with our crispy vaca frita (shredded beef), spicy chorizo, queso frito, sweet plantain and grilled red peppers

PAIRED WITH: Claramunt Reserva (85% Syrah, 15% Merlot): deClaramunt's flagship blend. Our Syrah tends to be fuller in body and color, with higher alcohol content. Our Merlot has less green pepper and olive notes, and tends to be sweeter with more chocolate notes.

BONUS: There will be one more suprise roll served. YOU decide the best pairing based on what you learned. There is no wrong answer! The best pairing wins a gift from deClaramunt!
