After first sharing his musical gifts on the 2021 EP 'Real' & its 2023 eponymous full-length follow-up, the Australian-born, Canadian-based singer/ songwriter is ready to fully step into the spotlight with Present Nostalgia. Co-produced by Jim Bryson (Kathleen Edwards, The Weakerthans), the eight-song collection combines new interpretations of some of Mikhail’s best-loved early work with more recent songs written in the wake of a period of self-evaluation. While his songwriting echoes the work of Americana heroes such as Ben Harper & Ray LaMontagne, Mikhail’s vocals are steeped in r&b sweetness, resulting in an intoxicating stylistic blend all his own.
