Ready to make a visible impact on our community? Join Morgantown Forward for a weekend of action on the Decker's Creek rail trail! We're coming together to clean up our beautiful natural spaces and add another splash of color to our city.This is a two-part project, so join us for one day or both!
🔹 DAY 1: THE BIG CLEANUP & PREP!
Saturday, August 23rd @ 9 AM
This is our all-hands-on-deck day! We need a big team to help us finish clearing trash from the hillside along the south shore of Decker's Creek. Once the area is clean, we'll be prepping and priming a bridge pillar, getting it ready for a fresh, new look.
(We need the most volunteers on this day, so please come out if you can!)
🔸 DAY 2: THE ARTISTIC FINISH!
Sunday, August 24th @ 9 AM
Time to bring out your inner artist! We will be taping off the pillar and color blocking it with a vibrant design to match the pillars we completed on the north side. Help us create another piece of public art for everyone in Morgantown to enjoy!

🗓️ WHEN: Saturday, August 23rd & Sunday, August 24th. Both days begin at 9 AM.
📍 WHERE: Sturgiss Street trailhead of the Decker's Creek Rail Trail (under the South High Street bridge)
✅ WHAT WE PROVIDE: All supplies are on us! Gloves, trash bags, paint, brushes, and everything else we'll need.
👕 WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear work-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty or painty.
Your time and effort will directly contribute to a cleaner, more beautiful Morgantown. Let's get together, get it done, and have a great time while we're at it!
