Inspired by the indomitable spirit of a seed pushing through the earth, DECK Photography Art Centre proudly presents our inaugural Benefit Dinner, "From the Ground Up: Sharing A Dream, Forging Possibilities". This momentous occasion celebrates the enduring power of photography and its unique ability to express the very essence of life.
For ten years, DECK has blossomed from a humble gallery to a thriving hub where all can gather through photography arts. We express our deepest gratitude to you, our esteemed patrons, who have walked beside us on this journey, fostering a vibrant artistic community along the way.
As an independent non-profit entity, DECK does not receive government funding for land lease or construction. Therefore, building a communal art space is only possible with the generous support from the community.
All proceeds from the Benefit Dinner will be directed towards the construction of a new multi-storey art centre at 120A Prinsep Street. The expanded facility will provide a platform for a greater number of exhibitions, foster innovative artistic ideas, and offer more opportunities for both established and emerging artists.
The purchase of your seat or table offers not only an unforgettable evening, but also a 2.5 times tax deduction for the contributed amount. Additionally, all donations to DECK will be dollar-matched by the Cultural Matching Fund from Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, propelling us closer to our fundraising goal of $500,000 by the end of 2024.
