Downtown Rochester is calling all artists: Elementary School, Middle School, High School, College, and Adult to participate in Downtown Rochester’s 15th Annual Skateboard Art Competition & Exhibition: Deck Art 2025!Artists are asked to provide their unique work on a blank skateboard deck. Winning pieces will be picked in each category by a panel of judges, and prizes will be awarded. Deck Art is scheduled for May 15 & 16.
This year’s event is expected to include as many as 40 local merchants, transforming Deck Art into a Downtown Rochester crawl. Completed artwork will be artfully displayed throughout participating restaurants and businesses for onlookers to enjoy. Last year’s Deck Art drew almost 400 artists from all over South Eastern Michigan. In the past, the states of Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, as well as Canada were represented.
