About this Event
Capacity is a tricky issue, especially as the legal definition is not always the same as popular understanding. As aging practitioners, it is important for us to understand how capacity issues intersect with our work. Ms. Odensky will discuss with us the standards for decision making capacity, how the legal system determines whether a person can sign legal documents, and when guardianship may be the appropriate answer.
