SECTION EVENING: WEDNESDAY 4 December (In collaboration with CMC) ROB FROST: Volta Glacier & Reflections on Risk
Rob Frost will tell a story about a recent trip to the Volta Glacier that he did with two friends, using a newly-discovered access route inspired by some legends of the Aspiring region. This trip led to some reflections on risk which Rob will also touch on, in particular the risks of trans-alpine tramping vs other types of trips, and risk tolerances when parenthood is involved. Rob enjoys being involved in both the NZAC and CMC so is really happy to have the opportunity for this combined talk.

If you want to purchase an alcoholic drink from the bar, you must show a Guest pass. You can pick one of these up inside the room we meet in where they’ll be on a table near the door. Entry is free and everyone is welcome, you don’t need to be an NZAC member to attend.
