Please join us for our December open contra: a dance for new callers, choreographers, musicians… and the dancers who love them!We aim to provide a low stakes environment where new callers can practice calling (with live music!), new choreographers can have their dances tested out, new musicians can join an open band, and dancers can help all of the above (while getting to dance exciting new choreography!).
Admission is sliding scale (we ask $10-15), to cover the cost of renting the space. No one turned away for lack of funds.
We don’t have all our organizers this month, so please regard the following! If you would like to call a dance: contact Greer. If you would like a dance you’ve written to be called: contact Greer. If you would like to join the open band and want to know tune lists ahead of time: contact Ben Rechel. If you would like to dance: great, we can’t wait to see you there!
A KN95 mask or equivalent will be required for this month’s dance. All calling is gender free.
