Jolabokaflod is an Icelandic tradition in which families exchange books on December 24 and then spend the night reading together. Want to participate? Here's the lowdown:
📖 Pick a beloved book you want to share with others. It can be a new copy or used!
🎁 Wrap it up! The title of the book is a secret!
🍺 Meditate on the title, theme, genre, plot, mood.... whatever! of your book, then select and buy a BEER which in some way represents your book. Think of it as a hint to your fellow book club members of what might be inside your wrapped gift. This can be an individual can or bottle of beer!
🎅🏻 Come to Component on December 12 with your WRAPPED book and UNWRAPPED beer! Then get excited to pick out your beer and mystery book when we do our gift exchange!

I recently read The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren. It's a kind of 🥵 and 🌶️ romance which takes place in a 🏝️ location. Definitely a light read for folks who don't mind a little steam in their novels.
I could pair this book with "Sweet Heat" from Burnside Brewing, a beer made with apricots and scotch bonnet peppers to symbolize the spicy romance.
I could also pair this book with "Cabana Pils" by Suarez Brewing to highlight the book's setting as well as where one might like to read it.
