Since 2020, Plastic Ocean Project has removed 12,416.88 pounds of trash from this stretch of Highway 421, resulting in the planting of 497 trees through our Trees4Trash program.

When: Sunday, December 21st from 11 am to 1 pm
Important:
All of the cleanup supplies (Gloves, safety vests, and bags) will be provided by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Plastic Ocean Project will provider grabbers to pick up trash.
*Volunteers are asked to wear closed toed shoes, pants, and to bring water*

If you are between the ages of 12 and 17, a parent/guardian will need to fill our the NCDOT form. This form needs to be provided the day of the cleanup!
