DECADE: Breaking down stereotypes, one photo at a time; celebrating 10 years of Down syndrome advocacy.The 10th-anniversary photo series, Decade, along with an accompanying documentary film by Digital Sabbath, is set to be released at an in-person event on October 27th, 2024, coinciding with Down Syndrome Awareness Month in the US and Down Syndrome Awareness Week in Canada. This year’s photo series, featuring 62 individuals with Down syndrome, aged 1 to 36 years old, underscores the profound impact of our work in closing the gap of authentic representation of the Down syndrome community.
Please join us as we celebrate ten years of advocacy work in the Down syndrome space. This Decade Event will be hosted by Brady and Tara of CHYM FM. Brady and Tara have supported our series for the last ten years by giving us space to share our messages.
We will be featuring a vendor space dedicated to organizations in our community that support those with disabilities in the areas of employment and community connection. The Buddy Choir will also be performing for everyone!
