About this Event
This December 6 marks the 35th anniversary of the tragic day when 14 promising young women were separated from their male colleagues at the École Polytechnique de Montréal and killed by a man with a semi-automatic weapon. It has been named a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
Join us at St. Columba Anglican Church, 250 Lincoln Road, Waterloo for a powerful evening of reflection and solidarity. Let's come together to honour the memory of those affected by gender-based violence. The vigil takes place on December 6 at 5:30 p.m. It is hosted by the CFUW K-W (formerly the Canadian Federation of University Women.
Join us for short speeches, music and light refreshments. All are welcome to attend.
