Talking about death won't K*ll you!We are a charitable organisation that aims to educate and empower people by holding space for people to talk about death and dying.
About this event
This is a FREE event.
A Death Cafe is a scheduled non-profit get-together for the purpose of talking about death over food and drink, usually tea and cake. The goal of these nonprofit groups is to educate and help others become more familiar with the end of life.
Join with us, Sam, Simone and Tracy of Angelic Aurora, as we initiate those difficult and taboo conversations about death and dying, in the beautiful and peaceful space of the Bedford Spiritualist Church and Healing Centre.
Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.
A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.
Our Death Cafes are always offered:
- On a not for profit basis (we will never charge for these events)
- In an accessible, respectful and confidential space
- With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action
- Alongside refreshing drinks and nourishing food – and cake!
You do not need to "buy" a ticket or let us know you're coming - just turn up and be welcome. There is no pressure to join in, you can just come and sit and watch.
these events, are safe, non-judgemental spaces where you can be heard and held.
