Who is Brittany "Dr. B" Barber?

Dr. Barber is an educator, author, inspirational speaker, trainer, facilitator, licensed minister, founder of Brittany Barber Speaks, LLC, and the new Executive Director of Hamilton Wings, a youth and family focused nonprofit that empowers children to develop leadership skills and confidence through the arts. With more than 14 years of experience in higher education, leadership and youth development, student success, and community engagement, she has dedicated her career to empowering people to embrace their brilliance and unlock their full potential.

Her leadership and service have been recognized nationally and locally, including the Kuumba New Professional “Visionary” Award from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (2018) and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award from the City of Elgin (2019). Guided by authenticity, compassion, and a deep commitment to transformational change, Dr. Barber is passionate about strengthening families, supporting young and seasoned leaders, and building thriving communities.

Dr. Barber is married to Rodney Barber. They have two little girls, Nina and Zoai and live in Pingree Grove, IL.
