DEAR JOE is a Stockholm-based indie pop band that has been active since 2011. With roots in the indie/folkpop scene, the band has gradually refined their sonic identity—blending electronic textures with acoustic clarity to form a distinctive soundscape where delicate melodies meet grand, emotional outbursts.Following the release of their second full-length album The Broken Diamond in 2015, DEAR JOE began touring extensively in Germany and the Netherlands. Now celebrating their 11th year as a touring band in Germany, they have built a solid and growing fanbase, known for their heartfelt live performances and Nordic sense of melancholy.
The band has released three albums to date: In Every Eye, The Broken Diamond, and Before We Hit The Ground—a record
that captures DEAR JOE’s emotional depth and sonic evolution, recorded in the Swedish countryside and infused with both intimacy and cinematic scope. In the fall of 2025, new material will be released, including the band’s first-ever single in German, titled "Wohin die Atome gehen". A new chapter is opening for DEAR JOE—one that continues to explore both fragility and force, always with a melodic core and poetic heart.
