Join Kat for a powerful session exploring practical ways to support people with disabilities through grief and loss. Grief and loss are profoundly personal experiences, and for individuals with disabilities, these processes can carry additional layers of complexity. The nature of these challenges may be shaped not only by the loss itself whether of a loved one, a caregiver, independence, or a significant life opportunity but also by societal attitudes, physical barriers, and healthcare disparities. Discussion will be around several key considerations and strategies for addressing grief and loss in the context of disability.
Kat is a mental health professional with over 25 years’ experience in counselling, social work, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Disability Management and Navigation, and Safeguarding.
