In 2025, Deaf Rainbow NSW is thrilled to once again proudly take part in Sydney’s iconic Mardi Gras Parade! This year, our float, “Deaf Drag Divas: Reclaiming Our Spotlight,” will be a dazzling celebration of Deaf LGBTQIA+ culture, combining bold expression, vibrant energy, and inclusivity.

Our float will feature a stunning showcase of drag artistry and our largest vehicle to date, making this year bigger and better than ever!

Don’t miss your chance to join NSW’s most exciting LGBTQIA+ event and celebrate with us in style!

Our Float's Concept

This year, we're looking for participants to join one of the following groups. More information will be shared after ticket/s have been purchased.

Deaf Drag
Strut your stuff in dazzling turquoise monochrome with glittering accents as you lead the parade with fierce choreography and Auslan signing, embodying the glamour of Deaf Drag royalty.

Drag Kings
Suit up in metallic yellow and command attention with hats, faux facial hair, and fringe sashes as you bring sharp style and bold moves to the front of the parade.

Drag Leather
Rock dark blue leather and metallic flair as you march with power, boots stomping and flags waving, leading the charge with unforgettable choreography and Deaf pride.

Other Drag Performers
Unleash your creativity in bold, eclectic costumes inspired by the Deaf flag, walking behind the Ute to celebrate diversity, unity, and fabulousness through vibrant choreography and Auslan signing.

General Float Participants
Join the celebration in sleek black with a splash of Deaf flag colours, walking behind the Ute as part of a unified, joyful group sharing pride, love, and Deaf culture with the crowd.

Ticketing Information

This year, tickets are being sold at $50 per person, which covers the entry fee for the parade, costume accessories, and access to rehearsals.

Please note that there is a booking fee for each purchase made. To avoid the fee, we suggest booking multiple tickets.
