McHugh’s Venue proudly presents Drogheda’s ONLY regular comedy night, Deadly Craic Comedy Club (formerly known as the Crescent Comedy Club) on Friday, September 26th, upstairs in the Watchtower.
For just around €15, on the last Friday of every month, you get a night of big laughs from some of Ireland’s finest comedians. Get ready for superstar headliner, Joe Rooney! Joe is an actor, screenwriter, musician and podcaster as well as a comedian. In the last 20 years Joe has performed stand-up comedy from Moscow to Muscat and everywhere in between. He has brought his stand-up shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Glastonbury Festival and Kansas City Irish Festival as well as a host of festivals in Ireland. He is best known for his role as Father Damo in Father Ted and his role as Timmy in the long running RTE sitcom Killinaskully, as well as appearing on Callan’s Kicks among many others.
Not only do you get a famous comic in an intimate setting, but you also get a killer lineup featuring some of the country's best up-and-comers, such as the hilarious Kat O’Hanlon and Vittorio Leonardi.
