About this Event
McHugh’s Venue proudly presents Drogheda’s ONLY regular comedy night, Deadly Craic Comedy Club (formerly known as the Crescent Comedy Club) on Friday, October 31st on Halloween night (Ooh spooky!), upstairs in the Watchtower.
For just around €15, on the last Friday of every month, you get a night of big laughs from some of Ireland’s finest comedians. Get ready for superstar headliner, Aideen McQueen! Spontaneous (in the losing her keys rather the kitesurfing way), Aideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, sexy, saucy and, most importantly, side-splittingly funny.
Aideen appears regularly on RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Radio 4. She is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has appeared alongside such acts as Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Ardal O’ Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay and Frankie Boyle.
She has performed at many festivals including The Vodafone Comedy Festival,The Electric Picnic Festival and Prague Comedy Festival. In 2019 she had two sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.
“One of comedy’s undiscovered talents,” Hot Press
“Aideen is such a strong act. She can open a gig, close it, compere it and, if necessary, pull out a guitar and do sing-songs afterwards,” Des Bishop.
Not only do you get a famous comic in an intimate setting, but you also get a killer lineup featuring some of the country's best up-and-comers, such as the hilarious Paddy Seery and Graham Morrissey. Host, MC and local Moretti connoisseur Ellen O’Reilly, will guide you through the madness. So what ya waiting for?! Book your tickets today to avoid missing out!
