Dead Blonde Stars & Lowdrive are 2 of Yorkshires finest Grunge / Stoner Rock bands & they return to The Globe on Friday 7th November!DeadBlondeStars have been performing together for a number of years, building a reputation as one of the area’s finest live rock bands. They released numerous EPs since their inception in 2012, before finally releasing their well-regarded eponymous debut album in May 2020 (7/10, Classic Rock Magazine).
The new DeadBlondeStars album “Metamorphosis” was released in February 2023 to critical acclaim from UK and overseas music media. The band have gone on to secure slots at several grassroots music festivals this year and, following their victory in the Sheffield “Metal 2 The Masses” competition, will be performing their biggest show to date at Bloodstock Open Air festival.
Sheffield based hard rock band Lowdrive formed in the summer of 2016. They have released 2 critically acclaimed albums. 2018's “ Roller “ and 2023’s “ Rise “ both released through Cargo Records , London . Lowdrive toured the UK twice with US Rockers Warrior Soul and have played shows and festivals with a vast array of bands including ; Skindred , The Wildhearts , Skid Row , King Buffalo and Those Damn Crows to name a few. Their music is riff heavy with hints of psychedelic , Stoner Rock and punk all thrown into the mix. The band has a growing following and is at its best on stage. Lowdrive are currently working on songs for their 3rd album , tentatively titled “Revolution “ due for release in early 2026.
