As part of long-standing tradition reaching back nearly two decades, the annual Dead of Winter Campout will be held at Cloudland Canyon State Park in the northwest Georgia mountains on the weekend of January 31st through February 2nd. Campers of all types are welcome: VW Buses, Airstreams, trailers, tents, whatever you got.
Scenic hikes include a canyon rim trail, and a trail into the gorge featuring views of two waterfalls. Camp sites include water and electricity, so don't forget to bring a space heater. And, of course, firewood. Lots and lots of firewood.
