Dead High Wire are a fantastic 'post-punk' band from Belgium. This is their first visit to Leicester since 2015. They say its all about raw power! but there is a lot of subtlety in their music as is evident on their latest offering 'Wasteland Shadows' (Available now on Bandcamp). Steve Ignorant from Crass no-less is a fan and thinks you should check them out.
Its 20 years since Echolocation have been together. They continue to plough their own furrow. The music is energetic but its the subtleties that set them apart from the type of garage and post-punk they sometimes get lumped in with. The new EP Repulsion features four tracks that highlight the musicianship and rawness we have come to expect from a band at the top of their game.
Bad Toaster are a new grungy power-trio playing garage rock. They call themselves 'Heavy women-noise'. Their energetic music is spawned from the soft underbelly of Leicester's Unglamourous Music scene and they are starting to make waves.
