Led by Deacon John Moore, a charismatic and versatile performer with a career spanning over several decades, the band captivates audiences with their soulful sound and high-energy performances. Deacon John's masterful guitar work and commanding stage presence, combined with the band's talented ensemble of musicians, create a lively and unforgettable experience that pays homage to New Orleans' music culture. Known for performing at a wide array of events—from community festivals to prestigious gatherings—Deacon John and the Ivories embody the spirit of New Orleans, delivering music that resonates with both locals and visitors alike.

For decades, Deacon John has epitomized the pinnacle of dance music, making his mark at the most prestigious events—from debutante cotillions and wedding receptions to outdoor music festivals and jazz funerals. His enduring appeal is evidenced by notable performances at events like the Congressional Ball at the White House in 2005, the inauguration of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal in 2007, and annual performances at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. In 1970, Deacon made history as the first rock’n’roll musician to play with the New Orleans Symphony. His talents have graced Allen Parker’s "Angel Heart," and national commercials for brands like Miller Beer. With a repertoire spanning several albums, including "Singer of Song" and "Deacon John Live at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival," he has achieved numerous accolades, such as induction into the Louisiana Blues Hall of Fame, and receiving Offbeat magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award. His influence extends beyond music, seen in his CNN feature, leading the New Orleans Musicians Union, and starring roles in theater and film. The band, features a full ensemble of keys, saxes, brass, and vocals, and contributes uniquely to Deacon John’s legendary sound.
