Irish rock duo Dea Matrona have today announced their first full UK and Ireland headline tour for May & June 2023.
Kicking off on Tuesday 16th May at Glasgow’s The Hug & Pint, the tour will see the band bring their notoriously infectious live set to audiences across the country. The tour will also see shows in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham, London, Bristol, Derby, Dublin and to conclude, a hometown show at Mandela in Belfast on Saturday 3rd June.

The band say about the tour: “We really loved being out on the road and it will be extra special to come back to the U.K in May for our own headline shows. We’ve got a lot up our sleeve for these gigs and are very excited to make our debut in some new cities. Mandela Hall will be our biggest and only Belfast show of 2023”
Tickets go on sale Friday (3rd March) at 10am via deamatrona.co.uk / alttickets.com
Dea Matrona comprises two school friends, Mollie McGinn and Orlaith Forsythe, who grew up busking to their favourite rock ‘n’ roll anthems on the streets of Belfast. Covering the likes of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Whole Lotta Love’ and Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘Homeward Bound’, they have reached an online community of 250,000 followers and racked up over 8 million views on YouTube. With their hard hitting riffs and musical intensity they have established a rare, sensational sound – gritty and real but loaded with melody and style, which has so far garnered support from Clash, The New Cue, The Independent, BBC Introducing ATL and more.
2022 saw successful shows across UK + Europe including supporting Eagles of Death Metal on their European tour followed by The Academic and Feeder, plus a multitude of Summer festivals, including Electric Picnic, Rock Werchter, Rock In The City and Retro C Trop, ending with a triumphant show at Trans Musicales Festival, France.
2023 has started with a bang, playing at Eurosonic Festival and a performance at the European Live Festival Awards. The band will also be heading out to Texas to play SXSW Festival at the British Music Embassy in March, as well as the Belfast City Output Showcase, the Official SXSW showcase and the End of the Trail showcase. They will also be supporting Chris Shiflett on tour before embarking on their headline tour in May.
