Island Wubs returns for its annual Otherworld fundraiser.Island Wubs' theme camp was a huge success last summer at Otherworld, Vancouver Island's regional burn, and we are excited to be returning for our fifth year with our favorite crews, Mind Garden and Dubversified, to showcase a stellar lineup.
Like all theme camps, Island Wubs is entirely volunteer driven. In order to deliver you the highest quality experience possible, we rely on grants from the festival, fundraisings, and the hard work and performances of all our volunteers and organizers.
We bring you this year the heavyweight DE-TÜ and BC's favorite, Mews. With support from DWAM, Mirage, and Ghobi.
This event is a chance for you to come dance your butt off to some serious wubs in support of our stage.
All of the profits will be directed towards leveling up this year's Island Wubs experience.

DE-TÜ consists of Jevon Ives & Chris Iona who have been writing music together since 2012. Born and raised in London/Greater London and now situated in Bristol.
Having picked up worldwide attention they have toured the world, showing off their refined unmistakable sound. This is UK underground bass music at its finest.

From the forest of the west coast of BC, Mews was raised in the paws of festival culture. Her curiosity for music was ignited at a young age and she knew from early on that she needed to share this passion with the world. Her sound is largely influenced by all types of bass music, predominantly coming from the UK, infused with r’n’b, hiphop, rap, dancehall and nostalgic dance floor anthems from her youth.
Dissolving the boundaries between genres, you can count on her to get your body moving with earth shaking bass and warm heart tones.
She now graces the stages of festivals such as Wicked Woods, Shambhala and Rifflandia as well as events across Canada and beyond.
