A light-hearted approach to a serious topic that is designed to increase your chances of successful outcomes during your workday.Effective communication is an essential function in our mission to achieve student success and it begins the moment the student walks through our doors.
This 2-hour presentation will provide the information and tools necessary to navigate challenging conversations with students and colleagues to create rapport and positive outcomes.
This training will cover:
-Fundamentals of behavior; 2. Recognizing and navigating our own triggers;
-Effective communication strategies;
-Surviving 1st Amendment audits;
-Process for getting help to those in crisis, and;
-Understanding when and how to contact the District Police for assistance
While the training is serious, it will be delivered with a light-hearted touch and may include dad jokes (if you aren't lucky). Best of all, it is free and will get you away from your desk on a Friday!
