De Colores Presents: Selena Y Los Dinos
Come join us for an evening of cinematic delight at our Selena y Los Dinos Film Screening event! Each year we choose an award winning BIPOC film to screen and this year's selection is beyond special. Selena is a part of our De Colores story so we're muy excited to be watching this on its release day, alongside you all.
Selena y Los Dinos celebrates the life and legacy of the Queen of Tejano, Selena Quintanilla, who along with her family performed, triumphed, and redefined genres, captured through never-before-seen footage from the family’s personal archive.
Prior to the feature film we will be screening Swan Strings documentary, Behind the Strings: Amplifying Black Feminism in Guitar Culture and our own film, De Colores Forever.
There will be a short q&a following the screening of Behind the Strings: Amplifying Black Feminism in Guitar Culture and De Colores Forever. Then following the feature documentary there will be an open community discussion.
