About this Event
Connect with like-minded innovators, change-makers and experts from Queen's, Kingston and surrounding region at the Ignition Café! Hosted by the Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre (DDQIC), Ignition Café is Kingston’s go-to monthly meet-up for anyone looking to meet like-minded change-makers, share ideas, collaborate and foster meaningful connections.
For this month's Ignition Cafe, we are so pleased to announce DDQIC's newest program, Queen's Founders and Innovators Initiative.
Starting in January, participants will have 8 months to start a venture from scratch or take their existing early-stage startup to the next level.
The program offers award winning and internationally recognized entrepreneurship training, mentorship from industry professionals and entrepreneurs, and the opportunity to unlock seed funding. You will pitch to advance to the next phase of the program, culminating in an immersive residential experience, held on campus, for teams who have demonstrated the most dedication and commitment. Those who earn the residential experience may receive a cost-of-living stipend, depending on faculty support.
Join as an individual or as a team, with or without a specific venture idea — all you need is a willingness to start a venture.
Come out on November 21 to learn more!
All are welcome! Appetizers and cash bar will be available!
