NWCG S-190/S-130 Training DCNR Bureau of Forestry will be hosting a combined S-190 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior class and S-130 Basic Firefighter Training class at Bloomsburg Fire Department, 911 Market St, Bloomsburg, PA 17815 in Columbia County.
Class dates will be:
February 17 - 6pm to 10pm
February 19 - 6pm to 10pm
February 21 - 8am to 4pm
February 24 - 6pm to 10pm
February 26 - 6pm to 10pm
March 3 - 6pm to 10pm
March 5 - 6pm to 10pm
These two courses provide instruction on the primary factors affecting the start and spread of wildfire and recognition of potentially hazardous situations. And are designed to provide entry-level wildland firefighters skills. A field day is required for students to receive credit for the course (S-130 Field Day TBD). There is no tuition for in person or online class.
Students that successfully completed both in class and field portion of this course will receive a certificate for S-190 and S-130. These courses are nationally recognized.
