About this Event
Stackwell Capital, a digital investment platform for the Black community, and Tzedek DC, a nonprofit legal aid organization committed to promoting racial and economic justice, are proud to announce their collaborative effort to empower DC residents through a groundbreaking 8-week financial empowerment program.
Note: This program open to all adult DC residents (18+), as well as UDC students who are DMV residents.
The program will focus on a series of financial literacy workshops aimed at the specific needs of young adults like budgeting, debt, understanding your paycheck, building credit and investing. The program will also offer individualized financial counseling sessions from experts and will help program participants set tailored financial plans and achievable goals. Program participants will be eligible to receive $100 in grant funding to start their investment journeys utilizing the Stackwell app.
This is a recurring event and will take place in-person from 5:00 PM - 7:00PM ET on the following days at THEARC East Campus (1901 Mississippi Avenue Southeast Washington, DC 20020):
