About this Event
At the 2019 Nutrition Educator’s Summit, attendees determined that a top priority for the city would be a Nutrition Education Landscape Assessment. Nutrition educators sought to learn, “Who is teaching? What are they teaching? What is the impact?”
As such, in 2020, the Nutrition and Health working group of the Food Policy Council partnered with Howard University to conduct this assessment. Dr. Oganya Udenyi, under the guidance of Dr. Linda Thompson of Howard University conducted the study. The purpose of the study is to assess and evaluate nutrition education programs administered in the District to guide planning, policies and decision-making moving forward.
We are excited to share that the District’s Nutrition Education Landscape Assessment is complete!
Join us on Wednesday, September 14th at YMCA Anthony Bowen as Dr. Thompson and Dr. Udenyi share their findings.
