*****DC Jazz Jam: Herding "Cats" Since 2009!*****DC Jazz Jam is continuing its "Back to School" series, featuring house bands of students, faculty, and alums from jazz programs! And also in honor of our 16-year anniversary "OG Jammers" series, we are bringing back the George Mason Univ. jazz faculty and friends --- since GMU was the original "Back to School" jam back in 2024.
This Sunday (11/16/25) features jazz faculty and friends from the GMU jazz program --- including Shawn Purcell (guitar), Jeremy Fagen (sax), Phillip Todd (vibes), Ponenya Min (bass), and Clay Cottis (drums).
[Don't worry pianists: We always have a full keyboard setup, as well!]
So come sit in with the band and throw your support to a great local joint! 6:30-9:00pm @ Haydee’s (3102 Mount Pleasant Street NW). No cover!
