DC Catrinas Parade 2025 – Annual Parade on the National Mall
Join us for the annual DC Catrinas Parade, a vibrant and family-friendly celebration honoring Mexico’s rich cultural traditions. This free event brings the community together on the National Mall with a colorful lineup of activities:
✨ Art Exhibits showcasing Mexican creativity and heritage
🎭 Catrina Contests featuring papel maché and piñata creations
🎉 Catrina Parade around the Reflecting Pool, filling the Mall with color, music, and joy
More than just a parade, this event is a cultural celebration with a mission: to preserve and share Mexican heritage while uniting families, artists, and the community through art, music, dance, and cultural expression.
🗓️ Event Itinerary
- 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Arrival, art exhibits open, photo opportunities. Dressing up and face painting are encouraged!
- 12:00 p.m. – Ribbon Cutting
- 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. – Live Artist Performances and papel maché Catrina and piñata contests will take place.
- 2:00 p.m. – Catrinas Parade around the Reflecting Pool
