The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) are delighted to be partnering at Cityscape Global to deliver a programme of activity designed to strengthen collaboration between the UK and Saudi Arabia across the architecture and design sectors.
Theme
The expert panel will discuss and explore how the ambition of Vision 2030 and the enormous investment being made in Saudi Arabia can be a driver for positive urban transformation and the critical role of architects and urban designers during this time of significant change.
We will consider the challenges, benefits and impact of such rapid and wide scale development, looking at global examples of lessons learnt while considering how regional identity can be established and expressed in contemporary Saudi architecture.
In this interactive session the debate will consider the best approach and examples of how to use this growth to stimulate innovation and growth in KSA whilst also enhancing the quality of life for the its citizens and communities by creating sustainable, healthy and human centric places.
