About this Event
Spring Days of Service will take place April 15-16. We have several volunteer opportunities. Please sign up for one or multiple services, just make sure you can go and they do not overlap.
For all opportunities, meet at the Community Service Center (4th floor of the GSU, 775 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02215) 15 minutes before your service start time. Transportation will be provided to and from service.
Services for this weekend:
Saturday April 15, 11:45am-2:15pm: Warren Rooftop Garden. Tasks include planting blackberries, filling planters with mulch, and maintaining the garden.
Saturday April 15, 12:15-3:45pm: Room to Grow. Room to Grow supports parents and caregivers as they activate their natural strengths and expand their knowledge, so children thrive from the start. Families in our program develop strategies to promote their children’s development, select baby and toddler items for their children, and connect with other local organizations and community resources that can expand their support network. Tasks include counting, sorting, and organizing donations of baby clothes, toys, and books.
Saturday April 15, 1:30-5:30pm: Daily Table. Daily Table is a nonprofit grocery chain dedicated to providing fresh, tasty, convenient and nutritious food to communities most in need at prices everyone can afford. Tasks include restocking and organizing food, cleaning, and general store activities.
Sunday April 16, 9:30am-12pm: Muddy Water Initiative. Muddy Water is a direct action, advocacy and educational clearinghouse for Boston’s Muddy River. Tasks include cleaning waste from the shores of the river and tending to the river and its surroundings.
Sunday April 16, 1:30-5:30pm: Daily Table. Daily Table is a nonprofit grocery chain dedicated to providing fresh, tasty, convenient and nutritious food to communities most in need at prices everyone can afford. Tasks include restocking and organizing food, cleaning, and general store activities.
