Mixing Yiddish and Sephardic songs with creative arrangements and new works, this musical journey takes the story of Passover to exciting new places. Presented by JIVE: Jewish Innovative Voices & Experiences led by producer Ronny Michael Greenberg, the cantorial soloist of Sherith Israel & extraordinary versatile baritone Simon Barrad, internationally acclaimed countertenor Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen and the stunning violinist Elizabeth Castro Greenberg.
Through new perspectives, new works and arrangements and representing the diverse Jewish musical traditions, they bring together the themes of freedom, bondage, and resilience.
