Welcome to your Day Yoga Retreat. Spend 6 hours relaxing and immerse yourself in Hatha Yoga, Yoga Nidra and a magical Sound Bath.
What can Hatha Yoga do for you?
Hatha means force and apart from enhanced mind-body awareness, the poses (or Asanas) are slower and held for longer than you would in a slow flow class. It's all about stretching, strengthening, improved stress management and better sleep using the 3 practices: body postures, breathing techniques and meditation.
We start the day with a yoga awakening practice and then later we move into a more tailored and relaxing afternoon session. Following that we will add either a further mini sound bath or nidra session.
Yoga Nidra - what is it?
It means 'yogic sleep'. The goal is to move into a deeper state of relaxation and restore the flow of Prana (or energy) to help calm the mind. With regular practice the participant can teach themselves to relax, fall asleep and to go back to sleep should they awake.
Sound Bath
What is a Sound Bath?
A full meditative experience normally undertaken lying down while listening to the sounds produced by a variety of ancient healing instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, rattles, chimes and even the human voice. The intention is to be able to detach from an alert state and release the mind to allow healing and relaxation to occur.
Essential oils, crystals, mantras and meditation will also be used to enhance your experience.
A delicious lunch will be provided alongside refreshments and regular breaks.
Suitable for all Yogis, modifications can be suggested as required.
The sound bath is not suitable for those with sound induced epilepsy, those in the first trimester of pregnancy or experiencing significant mental health issues.
