The Legion of Honor, with its sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge, showcases European painting, sculpture, and decorative arts, ancient art, graphic arts, and contemporary art. The museum, which opened on Armistice Day, November 11, 1924 in dedication to the Californians who perished in World War I, is in the midst of a year-long 100-year anniversary celebration. We will enjoy a docent-led tour of the permanent collection as well as free time to explore on your own. Our tickets will include timed entry to an exhibition of the works of the late Wayne Thibaud, who was a UC Davis professor of art. Lunch will be on your own at the museum café.
