The IOHUMC women first held Day on the Island in 1969. We are excited to carry on this meaningful tradition that has, over the years, helped fund so many mission projects. This year, we are giving a very special nod to the history of the Isle of Hope with a trolley tour through our beloved island. As we ride beneath the moss-draped oaks and along familiar streets, we hope to bring to life the cherished stories, strong faith, and lasting legacy of those who came before us in this place we call home.
In addition to the trolley tour, we will also enjoy our traditional highlights, including a delicious luncheon, bakery shop with cheese straws, brittle bread, and more, and a shopping bazaar with regional merchants and boutique makers selling an array of gifts - art, children's items, clothing, jewelry, home goods, and our table arrangements too! The monies raised this day (which historically total $20k-$40k) will go directly to our church's missions budget and be released into the world to glorify our Savior, Jesus Christ.
