
About this Event
Celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in Burnaby for the very first time. After six successful years on Granville Island, the beloved Day of the Dead Market is expanding to Brentwood Mall for a two-day cultural festival filled with live music, art, dance, food, and family activities.
As part of the Burnaby Halloween Festival 2025, and in collaboration with Tourism Burnaby, this community event brings the richness of Latin American traditions to the heart of Burnaby. It offers an authentic and accessible way to connect with one of the most meaningful and colorful celebrations of the year.

In addition to the main festivities, visitors can register for hands-on workshops designed for families and individuals who want to explore the traditions of Día de los Muertos more deeply.

Latin American Heritage Month (LAHM) Festival is an annual celebration in Vancouver that highlights the rich cultural diversity, traditions, and contributions of Latin American communities. Organized by, a non-profit that connects Latin American and Canadian cultures, the festival runs from the middle of October to the beginning of November and features a variety of activities, including music, dance performances, film screenings, art exhibitions, and culinary experiences.
